5. Jesus’ Victory Over Temptation

Luke 4:1-13

Is it your desire to share the love of Jesus Christ with your family, friends, neighbors, community, and even with the rest of the world? Would it then not be prudent for you to know Jesus, who He is, His work, and why He commands you to love the Lord your God with all your heart? Let me ask you... Are you deeply in love with Jesus Christ? Is He or has He ever been the focal point of YOUR life?

Over these past several weeks, we have been taught from God’s Word about “Who Jesus is”. He’s God, He’s the Sovereign God, He’s the eternal God, He’s the Son of God, He’s God in the Flesh (incarnate), He’s the promised Redeemer, He’s the Messiah, He is the “Gospel”, He’s Royalty, He’s The KING, He watches over us, He’s our confidence, and today, God’s Word will teach us about Jesus’s humanity. So, let me ask you, what do you believe about Jesus’ humanity? Was he fully human yet fully God? How did Jesus being fully human handle temptation? Was He successful in overcoming temptation?

Today, I want to show you from God’s Holy Word that Jesus made it possible for you to not only know Him and know who He is and His work, but He provided you the tools to not only know Him but to be able to live victoriously for Him! Open your Bible to Luke chapter 4.
